Georgia also ranks second in the nation in the amount of funds used under
the Community Adjustment and Investment Program (CAIP) with a total of
$16,148,200 being loaned. These funds are reflected in the G-B&I figure
above. This program directly benefits the most distressed rural communities
of our state and provided 643 new jobs this year.
This information reflects the wide variety of services that USDA Rural
Development has available to rural families and communities. Georgia
consistently ranks as one of the top States in loan and grant funds extended.
