Rural Development is a diverse mission area of the United States Department of Agriculture comprised of Business-Cooperative Programs, Housing and Community Facilities Programs, and Utilities Programs. We support rural Americans in various ways. Rural Development helps individuals, communities, and businesses obtain the financial and technical assistance needed to address their diverse and unique needs. Rural Development works to make sure that rural citizens can participate fully in the global economy.
