Community Facilities - Construction Information

Rural Development administers the Community Facilities Loan and Grant Programs out of its Area Offices in Bangor, Lewiston, and Presque Isle.

Owner/Borrower shall contract with a professional consultant, and provide Rural Development with the Owner - Architect/Engineer Agreement  for review prior to preparation of the contract documents. Projects funded by Direct Loan/Grant shall be prepared in accordance to ADA/AG as well as UFAS (Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards).

All documents must be reviewed for completeness by Rural Development prior to going out to bid. The table below includes the necessary documents for AIA construction contracts in excess of $100,000. Contract documents shall include AIA 1997 documents, except for the supplemental conditions, which shall include AIA 1999 documents.
