Multi Family Housing Small Rehabs and Special Contracts (Typically less than $100,000) Rural Development administers the Multi-Family Programs out of its Area Offices in Bangor, Lewiston, Scarborough, and Presque Isle. Projects funded by RD shall be prepared in accordance with ADA/AG (American's with Disabilities Act/Accessibility Guidelines), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Departmental Regulations at 7 CFR15b as well as UFAS (Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards). The Owner shall contract with an Architect/Engineer for design of accessibility issues. All documents must be reviewed for completeness by Rural Development prior to going out to bid, or acquiring quotes. The table below includes the necessary documents for Rehab contracts.
