Multi Family Housing
Rural Development administers the Multi-Family Housing Programs out of its Area Offices in Bangor,
Lewiston, Scarborough, and Presque Isle.
Projects funded by RD shall be prepared in accordance with ADA/AG (American's with Disabilities Act/Accessibility
Guidelines), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973,
the Departmental Regulations at 7 CFR15b as
well as UFAS (Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards). The Owner
shall contract with an Architect/Engineer for design of
accessibility issues.
All documents must be reviewed for
completeness by Rural Development prior to going out to bid. The
table below includes the necessary documents for AIA construction
contracts.
