Small and Large Wind Application Template and Technical Requirements

The required application documents depend on the level and type of financial assistance. A complete application includes an application, technical report and appropriate forms and certifications below.

Application

Grant Only

  • Simplified (Project with total eligible project costs of $200,000 or less)
  • Full (Project with total eligible costs exceeding $200,000)
  • Guaranteed Loan Only

  • Guaranteed Loan Amount Less than $600,000
  • Guaranteed Loan Amount More than $600,000
  • Combination Guaranteed Loan/Grant

  • Guaranteed Loan Amount Less than $600,000
  • Guaranteed Loan Amount More than $600,000
  • Technical Report

    Additionally, each application for a wind turbine must have a technical report. The requirements of the technical report depend on the total eligible project cost. A wind project is considered small if it is rated to produce less than 100 kW while any turbine rated for a higher amount of energy generation is classified as a large wind project.

  • Exhibit A-1 of 1940-Q: Certification for Contracts, Grants and Loans -- if the grant exceeds $100,000 (coming soon)
  • Form SF LLL: Disclosure of Lobbying Activities; must be completed if the applicant or borrower has made or agreed to make payment using funds other than Federal appropriated funds to influence or attempt to influence a decision in connection with the application.
