	USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT ASSISTED RURAL MISSOURI WITH 1.2 BILLION IN FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE DURING FISCAL YEAR 2009
12/17/2009	CITY OF FRANKFORD IMPROVES SEWER SERVICE WITH AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT FUNDS Funds will finance the rehabilitation of a four cell aerated lagoon to an in-basin activated sludge plant. The project will benefit the 328 residents living in the city with am improved sewer system.
12/15/2009	USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROVIDES $11,500 IN GRANT FUNDS TO LAFAYETTE COUNTY ENTERPRISES Funds were distributed for the purchase of a new copy machine and to replace forklift batteries for the sheltered workshop. Lafayette County Enterprises employs 58 disabled people and has a staff of 10.
12/02/2009	USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT PRESENTS $6,000 MOCK CHECK TO THE CITY OF FAIRFAX The $6,000 will assist the city in paying engineering fees to study options and recommend solutions to the existing problems with the wastewater treatment facilities in Fairfax.
12/02/2009	USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS WITH STILLWATER NATIONAL BANK TO FUND NEW COMMUNITY HOSPITAL OF FAIRFAX The hospital will provide comprehensive patient care including acute care, 24-hour emergency services, diagnostic laboratory and radiology services, physical, occupational and speech therapies, obstetrical care, skilled care and home health services in addition to specialty clinics, cardiac rehab and a public education outreach.
11/30/2009	USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT CELEBRATES 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF RURAL UTILITIES SERVICE Celebration was to highlight 60 years of connecting rural residents, businesses, and communities with telecommunication technologies that support enhanced quality of life and improved economic opportunities.
11/24/2009	USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROVIDES $1,259,000 TO WILLOW CARE HEALTH CARE, INC. Funds will be used to construct a medical office building on the Willow Springs campus which will house West wood Rural Health clinic, Westwood Home Health Agency, and the corporate administrative staff; purchase backup generators for the skilled nursing facilities; and allow for remodeling of the dietary and therapy services departments at Willow Care.
11/24/2009	USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROVIDES $9,200 TO THE CLEAR SPRINGS RURAL FIRE ASSOCIATION The Community Facilities grant combined with funds from the association will pay for the purchase of additional fire safety equipment for the local volunteer fire department.
11/24/2009	USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROVIDES $629,000 TO TEXAS COUNTY PUBLIC WATER SUPPLY DISTRICT NO. 2 The loan funds together with a water district contribution will be used to install new water lines for 553 water district customers residing in the county between Houston and Licking, Missouri.

11/17/2009	USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT CELEBRATES 60th ANNIVERSARY OF RURAL HOUSING PROGRAM During the span of sixty years the agency has assisted 6,186 Missouri recipients representing a banner year with an investment of $578,209,373.
11/13/2009	USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT AND THE CITY OF GIDEON PARTNER TO IMPROVE EXISTING WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM $2.4 million will provide funds to correct serious deficiencies in the existing water distribution system that serves 454 residents and small businesses in the community. This project is one of the first Water and Waste projects in the nation funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
11/12/2009	USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROVIDES $37,000 TO THE GROVESPRING VOLUNTARY FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION, INC. Loan and grant funds will be used to finance the purchase and renovatIon of a tanker fire truck for the local volunteer fire department.
11/12/2009	USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROVIDES $600,000 TO CITY OF HARTVILLE Loan funds will be used to replace and renovate existing water storage tanks and improve water lines for the city.
10/29/2009	USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDS PRECISION AGRICULTURE PROJECT AT HUNDLEY-WHALEY RESEARCH CENTER The $30,000 grant and the contribution from the University of Missouri of more than $10,000 were used to purchase Real Time Kinematic auto guidance steering systems which can be used to guide tractors.

10/28/2009	$540,570 IN USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDING TO CITY OF LACLEDE FOR WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS Funds will be used to replace deteriorated water lines, renovate the existing water standpipe, construct a new water treatment building, and construct a new pump station to increase water storage capacities and improve water pressure.

10/09/2009	USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROVIDES $27,000 TO LOCAL SHELTERED WORKSHOP This funding will result in the creation of ten (10) new jobs at Sheltered Industries.
10/01/2009	USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT CELEBRATES FUNDING WITH CITY OF SILEX OFFICIALS The City of Silex was presented with a mock check for $752,560. The funds will be used to upgrade the city's sewer system to meet current treatment standards required by the Department of Natural Resources.
10/01/2009	USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT CELEBRATES FUNDING WITH CITY OF GERALD OFFICIALS The City of Gerald was presented with a mock check for $2,300,000. The funds will be used to upgrade and extend the city's sewer system and provide service to additional areas in the city.

8/13/2009	TEXAS COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL RECEIVES $740,000 USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT LOAN Se-Ma-No Electric Cooperative was given a Rural Economic Development loan with the hospital being the ultimate recipient of the funds. The project is expected to create 15 new jobs, as well as continue to foster growth and support of crtical community infrastructure.
