CITY OF FRANKFORD IMPROVES SEWER SERVICE WITH AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT FUNDS

Funds will finance the rehabilitation of a four cell aerated lagoon to an in-basin activated sludge plant. 
The project will benefit the 328 residents living in the city with am improved sewer system.

USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROVIDES $11,500 IN GRANT FUNDS TO LAFAYETTE COUNTY ENTERPRISES

Funds were distributed for the purchase of a new copy machine and to replace forklift batteries for the sheltered workshop. 

Lafayette County Enterprises employs 58 disabled people and has a staff of 10.

The $6,000 will assist the city in paying engineering fees to study options and recommend solutions
to the existing problems with the wastewater treatment facilities in Fairfax.

USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS WITH STILLWATER NATIONAL BANK TO FUND NEW COMMUNITY HOSPITAL OF FAIRFAX

The hospital will provide comprehensive patient care including acute care, 24-hour emergency services, diagnostic laboratory
and radiology services, physical, occupational and speech therapies, obstetrical care, skilled care and home health services
in addition to specialty clinics, cardiac rehab and a public education outreach.

Funds will be used to construct a medical office building on the Willow Springs campus which will house West wood Rural Health clinic, Westwood Home Health Agency, and the corporate administrative staff; purchase backup generators for the skilled nursing facilities; and allow for remodeling of the dietary and therapy services departments at Willow Care.
