Guaranteed Loan Program
Guaranteed Loan - Prohibited Purposes- Properties with income producing potential, as well as with non-essential buildings (guest houses, horse corral, barns, etc.) are ineligible. Small storage sheds and small pump houses are acceptable. Properties that are ff grid have catchment or cistern water systems, and/or have large acreage are also prohibited. Unpermitted additions are not eligible. Unpermitted, converted garage space must be converted back to its original use.
"Flipping Rule"- USDA does not have a specific guideline regarding how long the subject property must be owned by the seller. It is the lender's responsibility to insure that the appraised value is based on the most current and accurate data available.
