Rural Energy for America Program (REAP)

 

Renewable Energy Systems and Energy Efficiency Improvements Facility Financing


Provides financial assistance for the purpose of purchasing and installing renewable energy systems and making energy efficiency improvements in rural areas.

Ø      Applications are accepted in your local Rural Development Area Office at any time. 

      The annual deadline will be posted upon publication in the Federal Register for fiscal year funding consideration.

Types of assistance offered are:

           Grant

           Guaranteed Loan

           Combination Grant and Guaranteed Loan

 
Eligible applicants include:

           Ag producers

           Rural small businesses

 
Applicants must have site control and own and operate the systems which will be financed for a reasonable term consistent with the economic life of the project.
