|GLICK FAMILY OF SIX|
|, Jan 04, 2011
OUTLINE OF NEED: USDA opened the door to homeownership for a young family of six who were living in a 900 square foot trailer and in need of additional living space for their growing family.
HOW RURAL DEVELOPMENT HELPED: USDA provided a $206,300 502 Direct housing loan to Joseph and Betsy Glick, allowing them to build a 2835 square foot two story home.
THE RESULT: The Glick family was able to remain on the same lot where they lived in their trailer but now have additional living space and extra bedrooms to accommodate their large family. To conserve energy, the family heats the home with a wood burning stove.
