@@Rural Development presented certificates to the Fordland Clinic, Inc. and to Seymour Bank representative, Tom Rost on Thursday, February 10, 2011. The Fordland Clinic, Inc. received a $55,000 Community Facility Grant and $350,000 Community Facility Loan and a $350,000 Community Facility Guaranteed Loan secured through Seymour Bank which will allow this not-for-profit to purchase to purchase their medical building instead of leasing and pay for some paving.
Bill Gdanitz, President of the board of directors expressed his appreciation, “It’s such a privilege to be a recipient of the generous programs available through USDA. These funds are an investment in our rural health care which provides important services and jobs for Fordland and Webster County. On behalf of everybody’s teamwork, I would like to say that we appreciate the commitment of everyone involved in this project so we may continue to provide important health services to the residents of our rural community.”
Missouri Rural Development State Director Janie Dunning said, “This kind of assistance mirrors USDA Rural Development’s mission and President Obama’s initiative to increase economic opportunity and improve the quality of life for rural residents. Special thanks are extended to our federal elected officials including U.S. Senators Claire McCaskill and Roy Blunt plus U.S. Representative Vickie Hartzler for making available federal monies for funding this kind of project providing essential services for rural Missouri.”
