| (MARCH 1, 2011) RURAL DEVELOPMENT AWARDS NEARLY $19,000 TO VILLAGE OF TRENTON | ||||||

-- @@USDA Rural Development has announced that the Village of Trenton will receive a grant of $18,800, that leveraged with $15,519 from the Village, will make needed improvements to the Trenton Public Library. "The Village of Trenton is very pleased and excited to have been awarded a grant from USDA to make the Trenton Public Library more energy efficient. These funds will enable the Trenton Public Library to better serve the community,” said Chairman John A. Rundel, Board of Trustees Village of Trenton. The $34,319 in funds will improve the library through acquiring new energy efficient lighting, installing new insulated doors and windows, updating electrical, obtaining a new ceiling, updating heating/air and building a storage closet. “The Village of Trenton has put a lot of time and effort into improving their library and they have been working on adding more community services through the library. We are very excited to assist this community in accomplishing their goals,” said Area Specialist Natalie Furrow, USDA Rural Development. .
