(NOVEMBER 15, 2010) USDA OFFICIALS TO TOUR SOUTHWEST COMMUNITIES
State Director to meet local leaders in seven rural communities

BISMARCK, ND, Nov 15, 2010 -- USDA Rural Development State Director Jasper Schneider and other USDA officials will be touring southwest North Dakota communities, November 16-17, and meeting with local leaders to further assist in the future development of rural infrastructure. There are scheduled visits in Mott, Regent, Hettinger, Bowman, Medora, Beach, and Dickinson.

“It is essential that we continuously reach out to all rural communities across North Dakota to identify, plan, and work together as a team to implement strategies that build stronger rural communities and improve North Dakota,” said Schneider.

During the tour, Schneider will be meeting with local leaders and will recognize communities for their efforts and strong leadership to develop economic development strategies that will create jobs, build regional economies and improve the quality of life for rural residents.
