@@USDA Rural Development (RD) State Director Terry Brunner announced today that RD has opened an Area Office in Roswell.
In making the announcement, Brunner said, “Our new Roswell office will increase our capacity to serve the residents of Southeast New Mexico.” Brunner added “We are hoping that the new office location and our increased staff presence will help Southeastern New Mexico residents take advantage of our community and economic development programs.”
The staff of the Roswell office will service the entire eastern and southeastern side of the state from Clovis to the north to Jal and Carlsbad in the south.
The staff assigned to the office will continue to travel throughout the area meeting with individuals, bankers and others to discuss funding opportunities administered by USDA Rural Development. These opportunities include business development or expansion, alternative energy programs, home loans and grants, essential community facilities such as fire stations and police vehicles and the financing of water and wastewater systems for communities.
The Roswell Rural Development Area Office is co-located with the Farm Service Agency and the Natural Resources Conservation Service at the USDA Service Center at 1011 South Atkinson Avenue in downtown Roswell.
