USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROVIDES FINANCING FOR NEW HOTEL
Hampton Inn & Suites, Marksville, LA received a $7.5 million loan guarantee for the construction of a new hotel in Avoyelles Parish.
Marksville, May 27, 2011 --

@@USDA Rural Development State Director, Clarence W. Hawkins, Bank of Montgomery and local officials will celebrate the Grand Opening of the Hampton Inn & Suites located in Marksville, Louisiana. Thomas G. Christopoulos DBA Hampton Inn & Suites, Marksville, LA received a $7.5 million loan guarantee for the construction of a new hotel in Avoyelles Parish.

"We will continue to increase economic opportunities and improve the quality of life for our rural communities throughout the state," said Hawkins.

USDA Rural Development funds were used to purchase land and construct the hotel. This is a 76 room hotel with a commercial grade pool, hot tub and sauna. The hotel is situated directly across from the main entrance to the Paragon Casino and Resort, which is located on Highway 1, one mile south of Marksville.
