@@USDA Rural Development State Director, Clarence W. Hawkins, recognized Game Equipment, LLC as the "Business of the Year" and Bank of Montgomery as the "Lender of the Year." This event was held at the Governor’s Mansion in Baton Rouge. Both businesses were recognized by USDA Rural Development for their valuable contributions in utilizing program funds made available by the Business and Cooperative Programs.
"These two businesses have worked hard to strengthen our rural communities by providing avenues for job creation and economic growth in Louisiana," said Hawkins.
Game Equipment, LLC received over $3.2 million, which afforded them the opportunity to expand and meet the growing demand for renovations to their sugar cane hauling units. BizCapital, the small business finance arm of Advantage Capital Partners, was the lender for this project.
The Bank of Montgomery approved loans in excess of $29.8 million for rural businesses throughout the state.
