Wentzville, MO, Aug 25, 2011 --

@@On August 25, 2011, Anita (Janie) Dunning, State Director for Missouri USDA Rural Development, was joined by multi-family property owners, city officials, and USDA Rural Development staff at Wentzville Senior Apartments in Wentzville, Missouri.  The occasion was to celebrate and acknowledge the generous assistance by Ameren Missouri, and its contractor Honeywell Utility Solutions, for providing energy efficient upgrades to the residents through Ameren Missouri’s Multi-Family Income Qualified (MFIQ) Program.

“USDA Rural Development commends Ameren Missouri and Honeywell Utility Solutions for their energy efficiency assistance to multi-family housing complexes and their tenants,” said Dunning.  “We celebrate the financial contributions in purchasing energy efficient appliances, the expertise in installation, and the assistance in educating tenants in using the energy efficient appliances to reduce energy costs.”

As part of the MFIQ Program, Ameren Missouri and Honeywell Utility Solutions have worked with owners and managers of 180 multi-family housing rental properties in Missouri financed through USDA Rural Development to install and implement these energy-saving improvements.  The annual cost savings for the combined properties is calculated at $422,382.  Their work also included educating tenants on the benefits of energy efficiency.
