@@Ramona Scarborough treats residents of Holiday House Apartments like members of her own family.
Since Scarborough became the on-site manager 15 years ago, she has gone the extra mile, working with local businesses and the residents of the 52 one-bedroom apartments to provide best-in-class services.
Trenton Mayor Tony Burriss joined USDA Rural Development (RD) Area Director Harriet Cannon and RD Area Specialist Denese Hicks and Area Technician Gentry Reedy to present Scarborough with a Certificate of Appreciation for her 15 years of dedicated service.
"A good manager guarantees the success of any apartment complex," said Cannon. "Beyond managing day-to-day operations, the best managers, like Ms. Scarborough, devote a great deal of their own time to provide tenants with a safe, affordable place to live and help them become a part of the community."
Scarborough devotes extra attention to the needs of residents by working with a local beauty shop to provide beauty services, the Reelfoot Regional Library for books, two local grocery stores to deliver groceries to the residents and the local pharmacy to deliver pharmaceutical supplies. She has also coordinated with local churches to provide entertainment twice a month.
"This place is the best thing that has happened to me," said Jennie Davis, a 28 year tenant of Holiday House Apartments. "Ramona is a great manager."
