Huron, SD, Mar 20, 2012 -- USDA Rural Development State Director Elsie M. Meeks today announced that USDA is hosting an informational listening session to learn about USDA agencies – who we are, what we do, and how we can work together to assist you, your business, your community, producers, etc. The learning session is scheduled for Tuesday, March 27, 2012, from 2-4 p.m., to be held at the Yankton County Government Center, 321 West 3rd Street, Yankton, SD.

This session will offer USDA Stakeholders a chance to hear about opportunities, priorities, programs and services offered at USDA from South Dakota USDA leaders and learn of national USDA perspective from USDA National Office Food and Agricultural Council (FAC) Executive Director John Berge.

The event is free of charge; however, space is limited so registration is required. Please contact USDA Rural Development Public Affairs Specialist Tammi Schone at (605) 352-1102, or tammi.schone@sd.usda.gov, if you have any questions and to RSVP.
