(AUGUST 6, 2012) USDA OFFICIAL VISITS CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER
Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Aug 06, 2012 --

@@USDA Rural Development Nebraska State Director Maxine Moul and staff visited the Child Advocacy Center in Scottsbluff today that was developed by CAPstone with a $120,000 loan awarded by USDA Rural Development. CAPstone contributed $24,500 towards the project.

“We are pleased to be here today to present CAPstone with a certificate for the completion of its Center,” said Moul. “This Center will provide the needed assistance to children of abuse and neglect.”

The Child Advocacy Center is for victimized children who have experienced abuse and neglect and is primarily used during the investigatory process and for educational and support services related to child abuse and neglect.

“Our new building is more child friendly than ever, starting with our butterscotch building with a chocolate fence! The kids are welcomed with a huge mural of a clubhouse just inside the door and our interview rooms are warm and welcoming. Everyone who comes in says it looks great and personally I love the air conditioning,” said Director/Project Coordinator Deborah Fitts, CAPstone.
