Hershey, Nebraska, Aug 07, 2012 -- USDA Rural Development Nebraska State Director Maxine Moul and staff visited the Hershey Super Foods today to see firsthand the energy efficiency improvements being made. A $54,700 loan was provided to Hellmuth Enterprises, LLC DBA Hershey Super Foods by Hershey State Bank and backed by a USDA Rural Development guarantee. Rural Development also provided a $20,000 grant.
“Energy expenses can be high so helping businesses to reduce those costs in turn helps their bottom line,” said Moul. “The project will replace 92 feet of outdated coolers which will realize an energy savings of 81 percent or nearly $13,000 annually.”
“We are so happy to receive this grant. It means so much to us and the community. It is hard to believe that we are receiving these new coolers. It will be nice for our store and the environment for years to come. I would like to thank everyone that helped complete this grant process,” said Jared Hellmuth, Hellmuth Enterprises, LLC.
