Bangor, ME, Aug 08, 2012 -- USDA Rural Development has selected Fish River Rural Health in Eagle Lake to receive a Community Facility Direct Loan of $150,000.
The Community Facility Direct Loan will be used to purchase a medical office building in Fort Kent. The purchase of this building will allow for significant savings and ensure that the organization can continue to provide quality healthcare services in northern Aroostook County.
USDA Rural Development State Director Virginia Manuel said, “Supporting rural healthcare is a key priority at USDA Rural Development and I am pleased that these funds will assist Fish River Rural Health in continuing to provide access to healthcare for northern Maine residents in its new space.”
