(FEBRUARY 14, 2013) USDA OHIO RURAL DEVELOPMENT, SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION TEAM WITH LAWRENCE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION TO HELP SMALL BUSINESSES
Columbus, OH, Feb 14, 2013 --

@@SOUTH POINT, Ohio – In the U.S., it’s estimated that small businesses – those with fewer than 100 people – employ more than half the country’s workforce and create two of every three new jobs in America. To a rural community, these jobs are particularly important.

Tuesday, Feb. 26, representatives from the USDA’s Ohio office of Rural Development, the Small Businesses Administration and Lawrence Economic Development Corporation will gather at LEDC’s headquarters, 216 Collins Avenue, South Point, to help area small businesses learn more about programs and incentives available to help them grow.

Topics include:

    • Financing for business expansion, machinery and equipment purchases, working capital or debt refinance

    • Funding for renewable energy and energy efficiencies improvements

    • Opportunities to enhance businesses, grow sales and income working with LEDC

This meeting is free and open to the public. If you require special accommodations or would like additional information, please contact Randy Monhemius at (614) 255-2424 or randy.monhemius@oh.usda.gov.
