(JANUARY 9, 2014) THE STRONGER ECONOMIES TOGETHER-JAMES RIVER VALLEY REGION HOSTS PRESENTATION

Huron, SD, Jan 09, 2014 -- The Stronger Economies Together-James River Valley Region team invites community members to a presentation “Exploring Entrepreneurship in your Region” to be held Thursday, January 16th, in Huron, South Dakota.

The presentation will begin at 11:00 AM with Belinda Engelhart, Small Business Development Center Regional Director. A free lunch will be served and will be followed with insights as to how your community or business can advance entrepreneurship in your region; the session ends at 2:00 PM.

Beadle, Clark, Hand, Spink, Jerauld and Kingsburg counties partnered to become the James River Valley Regional Team, one of only four regions in South Dakota selected to participate in the Stronger Economies Together (SET) program. Administered by USDA-Rural Development and South Dakota State University Extension, the SET Region has had an opportunity over the past year to receive the latest tools, training, and technical assistance to help their region move forward and take advantage of positive growth and quality of life opportunities.

This session is an extension of the training provided to the region and the SET team would like to extend this opportunity to the public; please join everyone at the Pyle Room in the Campus Center located 333 9th St SW, Huron, SD 57350. Contact Christine Sorensen, USDA Rural Development, for questions and RSVP, at christine.sorensen@sd.usda.gov or 605-530-5353.
