Adams County Housing Authority Hosts Open House
Renovations of Multi-Family Housing Property Complete
ADAMS, WI – April 16, 2014 - - - Adams County Housing Authority will host an open house to celebrate the completed renovations to their facility, today.
The renovation project included improvements to three separate complexes, located in Adams, Wis. and Freindship, Wis. A total of 91 units were updated, including 62 units reciveing USDA Rural Development Rental Assistance.
USDA Rural Development provided $1,457,502 in a Multi-Family Housing Preservation and Revitalization (MPR) Program direct loan towards the renovations.
The improvements included windows, doors, flooring, carpeting, painting, appliances, window coverings, plumbing, hot water heaters, parking lots and parking lighting, new walkways, new common area upgrades, and ensuring ADA compliance.
USDA Rural Development Rural Housing Programs offer a broad range of homeownership assistance available to individuals and families who wish to or currently live in rural areas, cities, and communities. USDA Rural Development Rural Housing Programs have the ultimate goal of providing affordable homeownership opportunities to Wisconsin residents. This past year USDA Rural Development invested more than $525.3 million throughout Wisconsin in the form of loans and grants that provide rural residents with decent, safe, and sanitary housing.
USDA Rural Development invests in jobs, infrastructure, community development, health, education, homeownership and affordable rental housing to improve the lives of people in rural areas and the economic health of rural communities. During the last year, the agency has assisted nearly 9,000 families and businesses in more than100 communities, investing more than $838 million into rural Wisconsin through affordable loans, loan guarantees and grants.
