Rural Development's Utilities Programs held a one-day seminar in conjunction with NRECA's TechAdvantage in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 18, 2013. Held every two years in conjunction with TechAdvantage, the seminar reviewed hot-button issues, industry trends, and provided updates on the latest RUS publications and standards. Electric Program GIS Resources
The GIS Resource Data Gateway provides a link to the United States Department of Agriculture's Geospatial Data Gateway to enable quick and easy access to GIS maps, their associated data, and other GIS related information such as aerial photograph and digital ortho-rectified images.
National Electrical Safety Code
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineers (IEEE) now has a website for the National Electrical Safety
Code (NESC). In addition to ordering information for the 2012
NESC, the website also contains Tentative Interim Amendments, Errata
Sheets, and Interpretations. The NESC Zone home page may be found at http://standards.ieee.org/nesc.
