A Partner In Creating New Opportunities For Rural Utah!
You have reached the official web site of the Utah offices of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development.
Our mission is to enhance the capacity of all Utah rural residents, communities and businesses to prosper.
We strive, in partnership with others, to help improve the quality of life by building competitive, vibrant rural communities.
This is done through
community facility and housing programs, businesses and sustainable cooperatives that can prosper in the global marketplace, and leading a role in
electric, telecommunications, distance learning tele-medicine and water and wastewater programs.
Rural Development has three separate programs to disburse funding: Community Programs (CP - includes Community Facilities and Rural Utilities),
Business and Cooperative Programs (BCP), Multi-Family Housing, and Rural Housing Service (RHS).
The Utah State Office is located in Salt Lake City and field/local offices are located within rural communities throughout the state.
