Finding of No Significant Impact

The Plumas Sierra Rural Electric Cooperative intends to request financing from the USDA Rural Utilities Service (RUS) for the proposed Fort Sage to Herlong 120 kV Interconnect Project, located in Washoe County, NV and Lassen County, CA. RUS’s Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed Project was made available for public review on July 13, 2011; no comments were received. RUS’s decision was delayed due to ongoing consultation pursuant to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, which was concluded with the execution of a Programmatic Agreement in June 2012. RUS issued a Finding of No Significant Impact on August 23, 2012.
