Community Facilities Loan and Grant Program
Recovery Goals
The goals of the Community Facilities (CF) Program are to provide funding for essential facilities related to health care, public safety, education, public services, transportation, and cultural projects. The funding results in an improved quality of life for rural residents while creating and saving jobs in rural communities. The specific Recovery Act goals are:
- A minimum of 10% in project funding for investment in persistent poverty counties
- 28,150 jobs created or saved (based on multiplier)
- 24 million rural residents will have access to new or improved essential community services.
