Single Family Housing Direct Loan Program
Recovery Goals
The objective of the Single Family Housing (SFH) Program is to provide 100% home ownership financing to credit- and income-eligible individuals for a residence located in a rural area. The Single Family Housing Program defines rural as an area with a population not more than 10,000 if the area is located outside a metropolitan area. The specific Recovery Act goals are to:
- Increase home ownership in rural areas
- Improve the quality of life for rural Americans
- Create and/or save jobs in rural areas.
