Within rural communities Rural Development has various types of properties for sale throughout the country.  For agency purposes, rural is defined as a city or town with a population of 10,000 or less. Certain areas with a population between 10,000 and 20,000 may also be eligible.

In some cases, financing is available from the Rural Development 502 Direct Loan Program.
