3.7.1 COASTAL BARRIER RESOURCE SYSTEM

 

The Coastal Barrier Resources Act (CBRA) applies to barrier islands that Congress has designated for inclusion in the Coastal Barrier Resources System.

The U.S. Department of Interior has identified the "Coastal Barrier Resource System" in the State of Delaware on three maps.

Maryland   This resource is administered by the State of Maryland under the Chesapeake Bay Critical Areas Act, which provides for enforcement by local jurisdictions.
