Guaranteed and Direct Community Facility (CF) loans and grants
are made to finance essential community facilities, which include health care clinics,
police and fire stations, schools, and child care centers. 

Use
CF funds can be used for construction, land acquisition, legal fees, architect fees, capitalized interest, equipment, initial operation and maintenance costs, project contingencies, and any other cost that is determined to be necessary for the completion of the project.

Eligible Areas
Unincorporated rural areas and town and cities with populations of less than 20,000 for a
Community Facility LOAN and Community Facility GRANT, based on the latest decennial population census of the United States, currently the 2000 census. (see above MHI & Population link)

USDA-Rural Development is currently accepting applications from rural organizations such as cities, towns, counties and community based nonprofit corporations for commitment of fiscal year funds.
