Community Programs
Community Programs serve a unique function within USDA in Georgia. Loan and grant programs are available for the financing of small municipal and rural water, wastewater, and solid waste systems; essential community facilities such as health care clinics, fire stations, nursing homes, and child care centers; technical assistance and training grants for water and waste disposal facilities and solid waste management; distance learning and telemedicine loan and grants to enhance learning and health care opportunities for rural residents through the use of telecommunications, computer networks and related advanced technologies. The programs have been constructed with a high degree of flexibility to allow for serving the unique needs of specific communities.
