Who We Are

The overall mission of USDA Rural Development is to improve the quality of life for rural Americans. To accomplish this, we have the responsibility of coordinating Federal assistance in rural areas of Georgia.

Working closely with for-profit and non-profit sectors, along with state and local governments, we are fundamentally changing the way in which the Federal government does business. With this philosophy of public partnership, many positive outcomes for rural Georgians are occurring daily.

It is Rural Development's intention to ensure rural citizens can participate fully in the global economy. By providing technical assistance and loan and grant programs to rural Georgians, a stronger economy will be built and the quality of life will improve for all.
