When are applications due? We can accept applications anytime. Use the documents and information available on our website. As new information is received, we will update the documents and information. Nationally, $60 million of mandatory budget authority has been authorized along with $39.34 million of discretionary funding for a total of $99.34 million for FY 10. |

| Grants Only Applications |
Complete applications for the purchase of energy efficiency improvements or
renewable energy systems must be submitted to the Area Office where the project is located. There is a separate set aside of funds for grant only applications of $20,000 or less. Nationally, 20% of funds or $20 million (e) must be spent on projects with a grant request of $20,000 or less. Iowa will spend its state allocation first and then submit projects for funding from a National reserve fund. Limited funds are available for grant only applications exceeding $20,000. The frequency of rounds of competition, any application processing changes, and the final due date have yet to be determined. Complete applications for the stand alone feasibility study must be sent to the State Office – The frequency of rounds of competition, application processing changes, and the final due date have yet to be determined. Maximum grant is $50,000 or up to 25% of costs. Nationally, 10% of funds appropriated - $10 million (e) will be available for feasibility study grants. This program is a national competition for funds. |

Iowa will spend its state allocation first and then submit projects for funding from a National reserve fund. Last year, the Technical merit score had to be at least 20 points to compete as a combo. |
