Indiana Single Family Housing Web Site

Our Single Family Housing Program has two major categories: direct loans that are made by USDA directly to limited income persons to purchase a modest home using payment assistance to reduce the payments, and guaranteed loans which are made by lending institutions but are guaranteed by USDA Rural Development.

 

Check out these facts for 2003:

1,162 new Hoosier homeowners using USDA loans

1.3% first year delinquency rate for USDA direct loans

94% of our housing loans were leveraged with our partners

$84 million in home mortgage financing provided by USDA

Over 230 families improved their homes using USDA loans and grants

 

National Homeownership Week was celebrated across the nation in June.

State Director, Bob White and Indiana Finance Authority Executive Director, Kimberly Wize, with staff and home owner in Gas City.

At this Indiana celebration in Gas City, Grant County, USDA Rural Development State Director, Bob White and Indiana Housing Finance Authority Executive Director, Kimberly Wize,  joined staff and partners to congratulate a new homeowner.
