Congressman Ryun Reviews Kansas Rural Development Projects

Congressman Jim Ryun visits with group at Northeast Kansas Community Action Program facility to provide head start and child care services.During the 2002 Rural Development August Success Tour, Congressman Jim Ryun (second from right) visits Northeast Kansas Community Action Program facilitiy in Holton, Kansas, which provides Head Start and child care services to the area. Joining Mr. Ryun on the tour (left to right) are Chuck Banks, State Director USDA Rural Development, Debby Davis, Center Director for ALJ Child Care and Family Development, NEK-CAP, Inc., Lois Pelton, Board Member NEK-CAP, Inc., and Jackson County Commissioner, Sue Felps, Family and Youth Specialist, NEK-CAP, Inc., Rose Sigmund, Head Start Program Director, NEK-CAP, Inc., (Mr. Ryun) and Kevin Gregg, Congressman Ryun's Constituent Services Director. The USDA Rural Development Community Facility Program provided funding for this facility.

The USDA Rural Development Rural Economic Development Loan Program provided funding for the project.
