As part of the 2002 Farm Bill, known as “The Renewable Energy Systems and Energy Efficiency Improvement Program”, this legislation will provide financial assistance for the purchase of renewable energy systems and to make energy efficiency improvements. The program is funded at $23 million annually over the next five years to promote the development of such projects and systems. Implementation of this new program will be in consultation with the U.S. Department of Energy.
