McPherson, KS. – First District Congressman Jerry Moran and USDA Rural Development State Director Chuck Banks participated in today’s dedication of Multi Community Diversified Services’ (MCDS) new facility in McPherson. USDA Rural Development provided $2.05 million in funding for the MCDS structure. MCDS provides vocational training and client services for the disabled community.
Congressman Moran, in his dedication remarks, praised MCDS for the programs they offer to the entire McPherson community. Congressman Moran also thanked USDA Rural Development for their work associated with the MCDS project.
MCDS President Sherry Plenert also thanked Rural Development and the Agency’s staff for helping make this new facility become reality.
USDA Rural Development State Director Chuck Banks remarked, “In addition to the progressive programs offered by MCDS, 40 jobs will result from the operations at this new location. Rural Development appreciates the opportunity to participate in these excellent programs that strengthen rural Kansas.”
