USDA Rural Development Selects Augusta
Housing Project for Funding
Topeka, KS. – USDA Rural Development State Director Chuck Banks announced today that Augusta Heights Apartments in Augusta has been selected for funding by the Agency for new construction of multi-family housing rental units.
The Augusta Heights Apartments project, when completed, will provide 20 units for small families. This project will receive a $1.0 million loan from the USDA Rural Development 515 Multi-Family Housing Loan program, along with tax credits provided through Kansas Development Finance Authority.
“Upon completion, this project will establish much needed housing for the community, along with providing significant economic stimulus for Augusta. USDA Rural Development is pleased to announce this funding selection, which will assist in making this housing opportunity a reality for Augusta,” said State Director Banks.
During today’s announcement, State Director Banks thanked 4th District Congressman Todd Tiahrt for his support of USDA Rural Development programming.
