Greensburg 'Community Self-Help Housing Program' Announced
USDA Rural Development State Director Chuck Banks (center) presents a $1 million dollar ceremonial check to the City of Greensburg from the Suopplemental Funding Appropriations for the Comprehensive Cooperative Agreement ('Planning Funds' allocation).

State Director Chuck Banks was joined by U.S. Congressman Jerry Moran, USDA Rural Development National Administrator of Housing and Community Facilities Programs Russell Davis, Tom Bishop of Homestead Affordable Housing, Junction City officials, and funding partners for the dedication and ribbon cutting at Bartell Place Senior Residences.

Greensburg Housing Fair To Be Held September 21st and 22nd

United Way of the Plains & USDA Announce Partnership

The United Way of the Plains and USDA Rural Development today announced a new partnership to help support the construction of affordable single-family homes in Greensburg.  The partnership, which will include the contribution of joint funding to the City, will allow the Kiowa County community to create a 'Community Self-Help Housing Program' modeled after USDA's successful Mutual Self-Help Housing Program.The United Way of the Plains and USDA Rural Development today announced a new partnership to help support the construction of affordable single-family homes in Greensburg.  The partnership, which will include the contribution of joint funding to the City, will allow the Kiowa County community to create a 'Community Self-Help Housing Program' modeled after USDA's successful Mutual Self-Help Housing Program.
