COMMUNITY FACILITIES

A sustainable rural community depends on several factors. There must be adequate housing for its residents, a reliable source of potable water and an adequate system for waste disposal, a supply of reliable employment opportunities, and a range of community facilities to serve the residents.  The Community Facilities programs of Rural Development are intended to help address this latter component of a viable community by providing funding sources for facilities such as health care clinics, police and fire stations and equipment, adult and child day care centers, libraries, public administration buildings, and schools.  The Community Facilities Programs consist of the following:

                      Community Facilities Direct Loan Program

                      Guaranteed Community Facilities Loan Program

                      Community Facilities Grants
