RURAL COOPERATIVE VALUE-ADDED 
DEVELOPMENT GRANTS

Purpose:  To help eligible producers of agricultural commodities, agricultural producer groups, farmer and rancher cooperatives, and majority-owned producer-based business ventures develop business plans for viable marketing opportunities and develop strategies to create marketing opportunities in emerging markets

Program Type:  Grants 

Eligible Applicants:  An individual producer of agricultural commodities or products, an association of producers, cooperatives, or majority-owned producer-based ventures;  additional eligibility criteria are outlined in the Notice of Fund Availability (NOFA) published annually  

Authorized Purposes:  To assist in the economic planning of a project such as completion of a feasibility study, business plan, or market development plan or to provide working capital

When to Apply:  Per Notice of  Fund Availability published in the Federal Register
