HOW TO APPLY:

provided over the telephone, and an application will be mailed to you to be completed and
returned to the office; or an appointment will be scheduled.
OBJECTIVE:
Develop water and wastewater systems,
including solid waste disposal and storm drainage, in rural areas and to cities and towns
with a population of 10,000 or less.
DIRECT LOANS:
Loans made directly through Rural
Development
GUARANTEED LOANS:
Loans made and serviced through
conventional lenders and guaranteed by Rural Development
ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:
Public Entities
Municipalities
Counties
Special Purpose Districts
Indian Tribes
Not-for-Profit Corporations
Applicants be unable to obtain funds
from other sources at reasonable rates and terms
PRIORITY:
Public Entities with population less
than 10,000
Restoration of water supplies
Improve or enlarge water facilities
or inadequate waste facilities
Requests which involve merging of
small facilities and those serving low-income communities
MAXIMUM TERM:
40-years
May not exceed the state statutes or
the useful life of the facility
