USDA ANNNOUNCES BROADBAND WORKSHOP

EAST LANSING, Jan. 27, 2010 – U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development will host an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act broadband workshop on Friday, Feb. 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Dearborn Inn in Dearborn.

The workshop will help prospective applicants better understand the mission, scope, process and requirements for the Broadband Initiatives Program and Broadband Technology Opportunities Program.  The Federal Communication Commission also will make a presentation regarding broadband technology and licensed spectrum at the close of the workshop.
