USDA ANNOUNCES $35,000 FOR BUCKLEY COMMUNITY SCHOOLS
EAST LANSING, May 28, 2008 – U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Director for Michigan Gene DeRossett will present a $35,000 ceremonial grant check for playground equipment to Buckley Community Schools at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 2, at Buckley Elementary School, 305 S. First Street in Buckley.
The event is open to the general public and everyone is welcome to attend.
USDA Rural Development's mission is to deliver programs in a way that will support increasing economic opportunity and improve the quality of life of rural residents. As a venture capital entity, Rural Development provides equity, liquidity, and technical assistance to finance and foster growth in homeownership, business development, and critical community and technology infrastructure.
