EAST LANSING, June 2, 2008 U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Director for Michigan Gene DeRossett today presented a $35,000 grant check to Buckley Community Schools to renovate and expand the existing playground at Buckley Elementary School.
The value of this project cannot be measured in dollar amounts, DeRossett said. I hope that we take the time to hear the laughter and joy that this equipment will bring to our children.
The money is available through the Community Facilities grant program and will replace outdated playground equipment.
