USDA Announces Groundbreaking for Clare Sewer Upgrade

EAST LANSING, Nov. 30, 2011 – U.S. Dept. of Agriculture Rural Development State Director for Michigan James J. Turner today announced a ground breaking for the City of Clare’s upgraded sewer system on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 1:30 p.m.  Guests are asked to park at the municipal lot located at the Pere Marquette District Library, 185 East 4th St., in Clare, and take a shuttle to the event site.

The event is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.   

The agency provided a $2,655,000 loan through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to help finance the project.
