USDA ANNOUNCES HOUSING, POLICE GRANTS FOR CLARE COUNTY

EAST LANSING, Nov. 6, 2007 – USDA Rural Development Director for Michigan Gene DeRossett will present three ceremonial checks to Clare County at two ceremonies on Friday, Nov. 9.  Clare County will receive $60,000 for police vehicles and dive rescue equipment at 10 a.m. at the Clare County Sheriff’s Dept., 255 W. Main in Harrison.  

The second event will take place at 11 a.m. in the Clare County Commission Board Room, 225 W. Main in Harrison.  Clare County will receive a Housing Preservation Grant of $41,790 and Mid Michigan Community Action Agency will receive a Housing Preservation Grant of $61,508.

The events are open to the general public and everyone is welcome to attend.
